Train Service to Machu Picchu via Hidroelectrica Resumes Normally

Access to Machu Picchu continues to improve, as train services on the route between Hidroelectrica and the citadel have officially resumed after recent disruptions.

Train operations on the route connecting Hidroelectrica with Machu Picchu are now running normally again, following repair work on the railway infrastructure.

The service had been temporarily suspended after a landslide affected part of the tracks in the Mandor area, a section commonly used by travelers entering through the Santa Teresa route.

After several days of work, authorities confirmed that the railway has been restored, allowing trains to operate again with regular schedules and reconnecting visitors with this important access route.

This route is especially popular among travelers looking for alternative ways to reach Machu Picchu, as it connects with the Hidroelectrica area and offers a different experience compared to traditional train routes.

For travelers, this means that access to Machu Picchu is currently stable, with transportation services operating normally after a short-term disruption.
