Detailed itinerary:



01-limaUpon arrival to the Jorge Chavez International Airport, a Peruvian Sunrise representative will meet you and take you to your comfortable hotel in Miraflores. The hotel is centrally located near to Larcomar that has many excellent restaurants, bars, shopping and overlooks the beautiful Pacific coast. You have this first day to rest and explore Lima at your leisure.

Lima – Cusco

Today, we pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for you flight to Cusco. Upon arrival to Cusco, a Peruvian Sunrise representative will be there to collect you and take you to your hotel, just 5 minutes away from the Historic Plaza de Armas. After you are settled, we will take a walking tour to help you get your bearings in the pedestrian city of Cusco and start the necessary process of acclimatizing. We will spot points of interest, the best restaurants and shopping for either souvenirs or necessities. The rest of the day is at your leisure to venture out in one of the most stunning cities in the Americas or rest up for the rest of your adventure.

Chinchero – Moray & Maras (Trekking)

Today you will experience a full-day private guided excursion through the Sacred Valley on our way back to Cusco.
First, you will visit the ruins of the Andean village of Chinchero, located high-up on the windswept plains of Anta (12,342.52 feet). You will find yourself surrounded by gorgeous views overlooking the Sacred Valley and the snow-capped peak of Salkantay dominating the western horizon. This excursion combines Incan ruins with a typical Andean village, a colonial church, some wonderful mountain landscapes, and a colorful traditional market.
We continue to visit the sites of Moray and Maras. En route, you will have one of the best panoramic views of the valley. First, we will see the huge circular agricultural terraces at Moray built by the Incas in natural sinkholes on a limestone plateau overlooking the Urubamba Valley. We will then stop at the ancient salt mines, near the town of Maras. These salt mines have been used since pre-Inca times and don’t show any signs of stopping. After visiting these amazing sites, you have the option to walk down an ancient Inca Trail to the Urubamba River Valley (1.5 hours) and on to our lunch site, or take our private transport to the restaurant. This short downhill trek functions just the same as it did hundreds of years ago and the views and people you meet on the way will provide another unique experience that most people miss as they rush to Machu Picchu.

Horse Riding – Urubamba – Machu Picchu

In the morning departure by private car to the ranch then depart via horse on a two-hour riding trip to the Yanahuara Community, suspended bridge of Paucarbamba and the river side path surrounded by local forest.
In the afternoon, we take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. You will be able to appreciate the amazing views of the raging Urubamba River and the change from Andean Highlands to cloud forest, as we get ever closer to Machu Picchu.
Free evening and night at the hotel close to Machu Picchu.

Option 2: Biking in the Sacred Valley

Machu Picchu Citadel & Huayna Picchu

Today after breakfast, you will take the early bus up to the stunning citadel of Machu Picchu! You will explore the enigmatic sanctuary accompanied by your expert guide, who will lead you through the site, providing archaeological and historical information on key areas of interest, including Intihuatana (the Sun Dial), the Sacred Plaza and the Temple of the Sun. After the excursion, you have time to climb to the famous Huayna Picchu mountain to make your dream true.
In the afternoon, you will head to the train station where you will board the train towards Ollantaytambo. Night at hotel.

Sacred Valley – Via Ferrata

In the morning you go by car to Pachar in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, between the villages of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, where your guide will provide you with rock climbing equipment and give you safety instructions. You will climb a wall of 984 feet on the Via Ferrata and picnic at the summit. Back to Cusco in the afternoon, night at hotel.

Cusco – Lima

At a set time our representative will accompany you to the airport to take our flight back to Lima and connect with your international flight home.
