Day 1: Arrival to Lima 

Upon your arrival to the Lima Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives, who will provide a brief introduction to the city and our services while driving you to your hotel in Miraflores. You will have the remainder of the day free to relax and get acquainted with the city at your own pace. Depending on your arrival time, we have plenty of suggestions for you so you can make the most of your first day in Lima.

Day 2: Lima Urban Bike Tour

Our urban tour offers a combination of culture, sightseeing and relaxation. It starts at 09:30 in the center of Miraflores and will take 3 hours. The tour includes the visit of “Huaca Pucllana” an archeological excavation site of the Inca, the inspection of San Isidro as well as some further attractions on the way Crossing the Malecón in Miraflores we reach the market of Surquillo where you can taste some exotic fruits. At the end you can have a good coffee in an insider coffee of Lima with view over the ocean and afterwards go back to our starting point.

Day 3: Flight from Lima to Cusco

At given time we will take you to Lima airport from where you will travel further to the Andes to Cusco. Upon arrival, we will take you to your hotel and you will have the remainder of the day free for acclimatization and stroll through the impressive old town.

Day 4: Cusco Walking City Tour & San Pedro Market

Today we will explore the amazing city of Cusco, which was the Capital of the Inca empire and one of the most historical cities in the Americas.
In the morning, you will begin your tour visiting the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, one of the most important military and ceremonial centers in Incan times. We will continue our tour strolling through the main square, where you will be able to explore one of Cusco’s most impressive buildings, Qoricancha or The Temple of the Sun, whose interior walls were said to have been covered in gold. As you return to the lower part of the city, you will stop off at the San Pedro Market, where you will be mesmerized by the variety of unique and traditional produce and discover new aromas and tastes of the region.

Day 5: Sacred Valley of the Incas with Llama trek

We will pick you up in Cusco and drive you to Chincheros, 40 minutes away, where we will take you along the Piuray Lagoon to the village community of Cuper Bajo. The village community will greet you with music and dance, then guide you to the community center. The village community, which primarily relies on handicrafts and agriculture, will then begin with a short hike with llamas (30 to 40 minutes) to the lagoon Piuray. On the way, you will pass the ancient Inca ruins, and you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this area. Next, you will have the opportunity to learn about traditional weaving and dyeing techniques. You can also purchase these.
The next stop is Moray, where we will visit three huge terrace rings that are considered to be the Incas' agricultural experimental laboratory. Next, we will discover the process of salt mining at an elevation of 3000 meters in the nearby Maras. At the end of our excursion, we will go to Ollantaytambo, a lively village of Incan origin.
We will transfer you to your hotel at the end.

Day 6: Palccoyo Rainbown Mountain Tour

Today, early in the morning, we will drive to Palccoyo Mountain, which is only 20 kilometers from the original rainbow mountain. Only a few tourists visit this mountain, which is just as beautiful as its big brother and offers not just one but three rainbows.
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, around 4:30 a.m., and set out on a drive through the southeast of the Cusco Valley. The drive to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain takes about 3 hours. Upon our arrival, our hike begins along a charming stream, where you'll be immediately surprised by herds of alpacas and llamas. After approximately 30 minutes of hiking, we will reach our destination: the stunning Rainbow Mountains of Palcoyo, standing at 5,020 meters (16,466 feet).
Once you recover from the awe-inspiring beauty, you'll have ample time to explore the area, take photos, and soak in the environment. We will spend approximately an hour at the summit, allowing you to also appreciate the beautiful natural rock formations in the area.
After this, we will start our descent, retracing our steps downhill for about 30 minutes. Then, we will drive back to Cusco; the approximate arrival time is about 5:00 p.m.

Day 7: Salkantay Trek Day 1: The Road to Salkantay

Today we will start this amazing journey traveling to a small village, located six hours away from the Apurimac River.
On the way, we will observe breathtaking views of the chains of snowcapped peaks of Vilcabamba, the quaint village of Mollepata, and the stunning Apurimac River Valley. At this point, we will encounter the horses, mules, and wranglers who will carry your gear during the trek. We will start off with a gentle climb up the mountain through the Amazing River Valley of the Cordillera Vilcabamba, hiking steadily upwards to the high plateau, following a series of switchbacks called the Siete Culebras. This incredible path leads up to the grandiose Mount Salkantay, which is the highest point of our trek.
Along the way, you will get an amazing first view of the Humantay glacier. As we approach our campsite at Suiroccocha, the enormous Salkantay peak dominates the skyline. This first camp is located at 11,500 feet. For those ones who are still fit can hike to the beautiful lagoon of Huamantay.

Day 8: Salkantay Trek Day 2: Upward and Onward

After breakfast, we will start our trek with a moderate climb up the Salcantay Mountain, where we will find small piles of stones, also known Apachetas. These served as offerings to the Gods. At this point, we will find ourselves at the feet of two impressive mountains: Salkantay peak and Humantay.
Salkantay is the most imposing mountain in the Cusco region, a large, steep peak, with a steep vertical grade. From this point, we will descend to our camp in Colcapampa Village, where we will spend the night.

Day 9: Salkantay Trek Day 3: From High Mountain Peaks to Lush Tropical Jungle

Very early in the morning we will start our descent to the eastern slope of the Andes, into the lush tropical valley where we will be able to observe the interesting flora and fauna characteristic of this region. This includes orchids, hummingbirds, butterflies, parrots, lush groves, cocoa and coffee plants, to name a few.
After crossing the river, we will be trekking along the left hand side of the Alto Salkantay. This part of the trek is easy as you descend altitude and we will observe how the landscape changes from the Andes mountain terrain to the low jungle. Finally, we will reach Playa, a small village where we set up camp for the night.

Day 10: Salkantay Trek Day 4: Serene Views of Machu Picchu

Today we continue this amazing trek through a sub-tropical region until we reach the village of Lucmabamba, where we will join an original Inca Trail. From this point, we will be able to observe the quaint Santa Teresa Valley. After a gradual uphill climb through a lush forest, we will reach Llactapata from where we will enjoy beautiful views of Machu Picchu Citadel and of the surrounding peaks.
In the afternoon, we will descend to the Hydroelectrica, where we will have our final meal with the crew. Afterwards you will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo where you will spend the night.

Day 11: Salkantay Trek Day 5: Stunning & Captivating Machu Picchu

Today after breakfast, you will take the early bus up to the stunning archaeological complex of Machu Picchu. You will explore this enigmatic citadel where your expert guide will lead you through the ruins.  He will provide archaeological and historical information on key areas of interest, including The Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana (the Sun Dial) and the Sacred Plaza. You will appreciate the most amazing views from the top of the citadel! This is an opportunity to revel in the energy and atmosphere of one of the most significant and spectacular archaeological sites of the world, surrounded by the cloud forest. You will also have the opportunity to see Llamas wandering around the citadel in their natural environment.
After descending to Machu Picchu Pueblo, you will have some free time for lunch, and to wander around this picturesque town. In the afternoon, you will board the train to return to Ollantaytambo Station, where one of our representatives will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
