Day 1
Visit to the textile community of Cuper Bajo
This magical experience starts with the visitors, who will be received to the rhythm of the typical music of the area and will be welcomed in the reception area. Afterwards, the hosts and the bride and groom will be introduced.
Then, the bride and groom will be prepared for the ceremony and dressed according to the typical customs of the Cuper Bajo Community.
The bride and groom will walk towards an Andean altar, on the shores of the Piuray Lagoon. In this dreamlike landscape, the marriage ceremony will take place, in which an Andean priest will be in charge of uniting the couple’s lives forever.
In order to bless the marriage union, the payment to the Pachamama, Mother Earth for the Inca culture, will be made.
Accompanied by the achihua, the couple will return to the place, where the nuptial dance and the presentation of gifts will take place. After the ceremony, they will enjoy a delicious Andean lunch.
Finally, they will have time to learn about the textile art produced by the communities and enjoy the music until the farewell.
