PromPerú has announced that the northern region of Piura will host two major national events this August: the Perú Mucho Gusto food festival and Expo Perú Seafood 2026, aimed at boosting tourism and export opportunities.
Perú Mucho Gusto will take place from August 7-9 with around 60 stands showcasing regional cuisine and is expected to attract at least 40,000 visitors, generating significant economic benefits for the region.
Shortly after, Expo Perú Seafood will spotlight Piura’s fishing and aquaculture products before international buyers, helping local producers expand into global markets.
PromPerú officials say these events offer a chance to promote Piura nationally and internationally during its anniversary month and support regional growth in tourism and exports.
