Peru has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable, resilient, and inclusive tourism at the 13th Ibero-American Tourism Ministers’ Conference held in Spain.
Represented by the Vice Minister of Tourism, Peru emphasized that environmental sustainability is essential for the tourism sector’s competitiveness and long-term success. Officials discussed regional cooperation opportunities to attract investment, improve productivity, and strengthen public-private partnerships. Peru also welcomed the adoption of the Alcalá de Henares Declaration, setting a roadmap for an Ibero-American Tourism Agenda for 2026–2036 focused on sustainable and resilient growth.
