Peru has emerged as the world’s leading exporter of table grapes, overtaking traditional competitors such as the United States and Italy, according to recent export data.
According to reports, Peru’s table grape shipments are projected to reach record levels during the 2025/26 export campaign, with export volume and value both increasing compared with previous seasons. Producers are benefiting from strong global demand, logistical improvements, and premium grape varieties that appeal to international markets.
The country’s success reflects its expanding role in the global fruit trade, particularly as a key supplier of grapes during the Northern Hemisphere’s off-season. This leadership is expected to strengthen Peru’s presence in major markets, including the United States, Europe, and other regions.
