The ticket purchase system to Machu Picchu has recently changed, and visitors no longer need to make a reservation far in advance and in groups. The current system works through direct ticket sales with confirmed payment. How much does a Machu Picchu ticket cost?
The price depends on the circuit and route chosen.
For Circuit 1-A, Route to Machu Picchu Mountain, Circuit 3-A, Route to Huayna Picchu Mountain, and Circuit 3-C, Route to the Great Cavern, the regular price is S/112. Students pay S/80, as do children between 3 and 17 years old. The Great Cavern route is available only during high season.
Circuit 2, Machu Picchu Classic, includes Routes 2-A and 2-B and is available throughout the year. The regular ticket costs S/64, while university or technical students and children between 3 and 17 years old pay S/32.
For Circuit 3, Royalty Circuit, Route 3-B is available year-round, while Route 3-D to Huchuy Picchu is offered during high season. The regular ticket costs S/64, with a reduced price of S/32 for university or technical students and children between 3 and 17.

Yes. There is also a presential ticket sale, but only 1,000 entrance tickets are available per day through this option.

Who Can Enter Machu Picchu for Free?
Free admission applies to specific groups:
People born in Cusco: Free admission every Sunday. They must still reserve and generate their free ticket.
Children under 3 years old: Free admission. They must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their care and safety.
What Documents Do You Need?
To enter Machu Picchu, visitors must present a valid DNI, foreign resident card or passport, depending on their status as a Peruvian citizen, foreign resident or citizen of a CAN country.
The ticket must also correspond to the visitor and the date of the visit.
How Long Can You Stay at Machu Picchu?
Your time inside the archaeological site is subject to the rules established by the Ministry of Culture through the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco, according to the regulations in force for the sustainable use and tourist visitation of Machu Picchu.
