Lima will host The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 from November 2 to 4, bringing one of the most important events in the international culinary calendar to Latin America for the first time.
The event is expected to bring around 1200 chefs, journalists, gastronomy professionals and industry leaders from more than 34 countries to the Peruvian capital. Over three days, the program will include culinary experiences, talks and meetings featuring international and Peruvian chefs.
The main event will take place on November 4 at the Teatro Municipal de Lima, where the new World's 50 Best Restaurants list will be announced. The program will also include 50 Best Talks and special dining experiences bringing together chefs from Peru and other parts of the world.
Lima's selection as host city also highlights Peru's growing international reputation as a gastronomic destination. Central reached No. 1 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants ranking in 2023, followed by Maido, which took the top spot in 2025.
The event is expected to generate approximately 2 million dollars in economic activity for Lima, benefiting areas such as tourism, hospitality, restaurants and transportation. For visitors, it will also be an opportunity to experience Peru's food culture while the international gastronomy community gathers in the capital.
