Lima will host an international orchid exhibition this weekend. The XV International Orchid Exhibition will take place from October 23 to 25 in Surco, Lima, bringing together orchid growers, collectors and nature lovers.
The event is organized by the Peruvian Orchid Society (SPO) as part of its 40th anniversary. Visitors will be able to see different species of orchids in bloom and learn more about these beautiful plants and how to care for them.
The exhibition will include 16 orchid producers and nurseries from Peru, where visitors can find orchids, soil mixes, fertilizers and other supplies. There will also be talks by Peruvian and international experts about growing orchids at home, natural pest control and how to keep orchids blooming for longer.
Another highlight will be the participation of judges certified by the American Orchid Society, who will evaluate the orchids presented at the exhibition. The competition is also open to people who grow orchids at home, not only professional growers.
