Day 1: From Cusco to Huchuy Qosqo
We will pick you up from your hotel at 06:00 am and then drive to Sihua. Here we start our hike through the solitude of the Peruvian Andes. After approximately 2 to 3 hours we arrive at a clearing from where we can see an abandoned village. This is where the most beautiful part of the hike begins. We walk along original Inca trails through a beautiful canyon until we reach the ancient Inca city of Huchuy Qosqo. There we will have time to explore the ruins and then we will go to our host family's home. Here your guide will introduce you to the local family with whom you will spend the night.
In the late afternoon you will enjoy tea and later have dinner with your family. In the evening you will have the opportunity to enjoy the sky full of bright stars and see the constellations of the Incas.

We get up early in the morning, have breakfast and head to Piuray Lake. First we climb again until we reach the highest point of our hike (4,200 meters). From there we have a fantastic view of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, lagoons and valleys. From here, the descent is quite easy. After about 1 hour we reach the first village and after another, the beautiful Piuray Lagoon. In the community of Cupper Bajo, our host is already waiting for us with a deliciously prepared pachamanca. The pachamanca is a typical Andean dish that is cooked in an earth oven. We will have lunch. Then you will have the afternoon free (without guide). You can spend the day in the village or drive or walk to nearby Chinchero (approx. 2 km.) Chinchero is the most famous place for weaving and handicrafts in the Sacred Valley. In the evening you can have dinner with your host family and round off the day with a beer or wine (not included).
