Tip

A great tip for traveling in Peru is to practice layering your clothing. Begin with a moisture-wicking base layer to stay dry, then add an insulating middle layer (such as a fleece or lightweight down jacket), and finish with a waterproof outer layer. This strategy is especially useful in places like Cusco and the Sacred Valley, where mornings can be cold before warming up during the day, or in the Amazon, where rain showers come and go quickly. Layering keeps you comfortable, dry, and allows you to enjoy each adventure, whether you're exploring ancient ruins or navigating Peru's diverse ecosystems.
