Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Lima
Upon your arrival to the Lima Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives, who will provide a brief introduction to the city and our services while driving you to your hotel in Miraflores. You will have the remainder of the day free to relax and get acquainted with the city at your own pace. Depending on your arrival time, we have plenty of suggestions for you so you can make the most of your first day in Lima.

Day 2
Lima – Sacred Valley – Celebration Ceremony
At the scheduled departure time, you will be met by our representative at your hotel and escorted to the Lima airport for your flight. Upon arrival to the City of Cusco, you will be welcomed by a Peruvian Sunrise representative, who will drive you along scenic roads to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On our way, we will visit the impressive ruins of Pisac as well as its colorful market. We will then have lunch in the Urubamba Valley. Afterwards we will make our way to your beautiful hotel. After some time to rest, we have a Peruvian Shaman perform a short ceremony to bless your union and your new life together in traditional fashion. The rest of the day is at your leisure to fully enjoy the spa; restaurant and dinner show that includes acrobats.

Day 3
Chinchero, Moray & Maras
Today you will experience a full-day private guided excursion through the Sacred Valley on our way to Machu Picchu.
First, you will visit the Andean village of Chinchero, located high up on the windswept plains of Anta (12,342.52 feet). You will find yourself surrounded by gorgeous views overlooking the Sacred Valley and the snow-capped peak of Salkantay dominating the western horizon. This excursion combines Incan ruins with a typical Andean village, a colonial church, some wonderful mountain landscapes, and a colorful traditional market.
We continue on to visit the sites of the Maras salt mines and the circular ruins of Moray. En route, you will have one of the best panoramic views of the valley. First, we will stop at the ancient salt mines, near the town of Maras, then, the huge circular agricultural terraces at Moray built by the Incas in natural sinkholes on a limestone plateau overlooking the Urubamba Valley. Afterward we will head to your beautiful hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Option 2: Visit Chinchero and have a traditional Pachamanca at the Laguna of Piuray
In the morning, we set out for a short drive to the small pueblo of Chinchero known for its amazing weaving community and other Inca textiles. Appreciate and participate in the process of how these weavings have been done since before Inca times.
After, we will visit the ancient lake of Piuray and participate in a Pachamanca. This is a pre-Inca tradition where you build an oven out of stones taken from the river. As a guide helps you to carefully place each stone in its place to create a circular rock oven, you will take in some breathtaking view of the lake and the Sacred Valley. Build a fire inside the oven and have time to relax as your feast cooks. In a short time, you will be enjoying a traditional meal on the banks of this special lake. Afterwards, we return you to your beautiful hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 4
Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
After a very early rise, you will board the train from the Ollantaytambo Station heading to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). This train journey is a spectacle in itself!
You will be able to appreciate the Peru’s immense biodiversity, as you witness the landscape transition from Andean highlands to lush rainforest, descending alongside the Urubamba River.
Upon arrival to the Aguas Calientes train station, your porter will take your bags and transfer them to your luxury hotel at Inkaterra.
As you take a short walk through this bustling town at the base of Machu Picchu with your guide, you can appreciate the amazing rivers, waterfalls and streams that pass through this zone known as the cloud forest.
The Inkaterra hotel built its hotel around the nature, so you may feel as though you are deep in the jungle with its many natural trails, gardens and waterfalls, but you are just a short distance from the bus station in order to take a short ride to Machu Picchu in the morning. The hotel offers many different tours on site that include the largest private orchid garden in the world, a small zoo that holds the fabled spectacle bear as well as other species native to the area, a spa and great dining just to name a few of the amenities.
This hotel has hosted many famous actors, musicians, and important figures in its long history.

Day 5
Machu Picchu Citadel – Cusco
Early in the morning, you will take a 20-minute bus ride up to the spectacular site of Machu Picchu. You will explore this enigmatic sanctuary where your expert guide will lead you through the ruins, providing archaeological and historical information on key areas of interest, including The Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana (the Sun Dial) and the Sacred Plaza.
You will appreciate the most amazing views from the top of this citadel!
This is an opportunity to revel in the energy and atmosphere of one of the most significant and spectacular archaeological sites of the world, set high in the cloud forest.
You will also have the opportunity to see Llamas meandering around in their natural environment.
After descending to Machu Picchu Pueblo, you will have some free time for lunch, and wander through this picturesque town. In the afternoon, you will board the return train to the Ollantaytambo Station, where one of our representatives will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 6
Cusco, Cooking Classes
Learn how to be a chef in the rich history of Peruvian cuisine for a day! We start the classes with a detailed explanation of the Peruvian gastronomy and continue on to the market to purchase our local and fresh ingredients that are in season.
We will then prepare one of Peru’s signature dishes, ceviche. There are many like it, but the Peruvian ceviche is the original and the best. After, we will make Peru’s signature drink, the Pisco Sour. This will be sure to be a hit at your next party.
While enjoying our Pisco sours, we will start another famous Peruvian plate called the Lomo Saltado. As if that were not enough, during the class you will taste different treats and appetizers of Peruvian cuisine, masterfully executed by local restaurant chefs.After this, you will not only have tried the best dishes Peru has to offer but have learned how to prepare them and take the recipes and techniques home to your family and friends.
Optional for afternoon: City tour & Cusco Ruins
Today we will explore the amazing city of Cusco, which was the Capital of the Inca Empire and one of the most historical cities in the Americas.
In the morning, you will begin your tour visiting the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, one the most important military and ceremonial centers in Incan times. We will continue our tour strolling through the main square, where you will be able to explore the Cathedral and admire its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Just a few blocks away, you will explore one of Cusco’s most impressive buildings, Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, whose interior walls were said to have been covered in gold.As you return to the lower part of the city, you will stop off at the San Pedro Market, where you will be mesmerized by the variety of unique and traditional produce and discover new aromas and tastes of the region.

Cusco – Lima
At a set time our representative will accompany you to the airport to take our flight back to Lima and connect with your international flight home.
